#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were up by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese scrap metal prices surged higher on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on February 11th, Tuesday. Aluminum, Copper and Stainless Steel scrap prices were up from the previous day. Meantime, Aluminum and Steel scrap prices held steady.

Copper Scrap Prices

The #1 Copper Bare Bright prices were up by CNY 150 per MT.

#1 Copper Wire and Tubing saw price rise of CNY 150 per MT each.

The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also increased by CNY 150 per MT.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were up by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery remained unchanged when compared with the day before.

Copper Transformer scrap prices saw no variation in prices over the previous day. No price-change was witnessed in Cu Yokes.

Cu/Al Radiator prices remained unchanged.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices held steady on Tuesday, February 11th.

Also, Heater Cores, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices remained unchanged.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions edged higher by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too were up by CNY 50 per MT.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers saw no variation.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices inched higher by CNY 50 per MT on Index.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices too were up by CNY 50 per MT each on 11th February, 2020.

The prices of UBC held steady on Index.

Zorba 90% INF prices saw no change from the previous day.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 11th February, 2020.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS recorded no change on Index.

304 SS Solid and 304 SS Turning prices edged higher by CNY 50 per MT each.

309 SS and 316 SS Solid scrap prices increased by CNY 100 per MT each when compared with the prior day.

310 SS prices were up by CNY 150 per MT on February 11th, 2020.

Shred SS prices inched higher by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.

 Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China remained unchanged on Index.

Brass Radiator scrap prices held steady on February 11th, 2020.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too were flat on Index.

A single deep-sea scrap deal was heard from Germany on Tuesday at $343/tonne cfr Türkiye for 13,000 tonnes of HMS 1&2 80:20, and at $363/t cfr for 7,000t of shredded and 6,000t of bonus grade material. The supplier initially entered the market with a $352/t cfr offer but, due to a lack of interest, lowered it to $348/t cfr last week before finally closing the sale at $343/t cfr.
