BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese copper scrap prices declined sharply on ScrapMonster Price Index as on March 8th, Thursday. Brass and Bronze scrap prices too dropped on Index when compared with the previous day. Stainless Steel scrap prices too were down from the previous day. Meantime, Aluminum and Steel scrap prices mostly held steady on Index.
#1 Copper Bare Bright prices were down sharply by CNY 400 per MT over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing and #2 Copper Wire and Tubing too declined heavily by CNY 400 per MT each.
#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices have declined by CNY 150 per MT upon comparison with the previous day to touch CNY 28,300 per MT. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices also dropped by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day.
Copper Transformer prices were down by CNY 50 per MT when matched with the prior day.
Cu Yokes and Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices edged lower by CNY 50 per MT each.
Cu/Al Radiator scrap prices declined by CNY 100 per MT.
Heater Cores prices were down by CNY 100 per MT to touch CNY 26,500 per MT on Thursday, March 8th.
Meantime, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices remained unchanged when compared with the previous day.
6063 Extrusions witnessed no change in prices over the previous day.
Aluminum Ingots too remained unchanged.
The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers saw no variation.
E.C Aluminum Wire prices remained unmoved at CNY 14,000 per MT.
Old Cast prices too were flat on 8th March, 2018.
The prices of Old Sheets and UBC held steady on Index.
Zorba 90% INF prices saw no change from the previous day.
#1 HMS prices held steady at CNY 1,630 per MT on 8th March, 2018.
Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.
201 SS, 304 SS Solid and 304 SS Turning prices remained unchanged on Index.
309 SS and 310 SS prices witnessed decline of CNY 50 per MT and CNY 100 per MT respectively.
316 SS Solid scrap prices edged lower by CNY 50 per MT over the day on March 8th.
Shred SS prices were flat when compared with the previous day.
The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded marginal decline from the previous day.
Brass Radiator scrap prices recorded decline by CNY 100 per MT on March 8th, 2018.
Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too were down by CNY 100 per MT each.
