18th February, 2019-North American Scrap Metal Prices Saw Mixed Trend on Index

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American scrap prices exhibited mixed trend on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on February 18th, Monday. Copper scrap prices witnessed marginal uptick, whereas Aluminum scrap prices declined on Index. Steel, Stainless Steel, Brass and Bronze scrap prices remained unchanged on Index over the previous day.

Copper Scrap Prices

The price of Alternator scrap remained unchanged over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing increased marginally by $0.02per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also up by $0.02 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright went higher by $ 0.02 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery edged higher by $0.01 per Lb when matched with the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too were up by $0.01 per Lb. #3 Copper-Light copper prices inched higher by $0.02 per Lb.

The prices of Copper Radiator scrap reported jump b y$0.01 per Lb.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery scrap prices were unchanged over the day.

Copper Transformer Scrap and Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices remained unchanged. Cu Yokes prices too were flat from the previous day.

Meanwhile, the prices of Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe saw no variation on February 18th, 2019.

Heater Cores and Romex Wires prices witnessed no change when compared with the previous day.

The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Starters, Sealed units and Xmas Lights reported no change from previous day price levels.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

1100 Scrap prices were down by $0.01 per Lb over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap too declined by $0.01 per Lb. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too were down by $0.01 per Lb.

The prices of 6063 Extrusions dropped by $0.01 per Lb over the day.

Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions saw marginal decline of $0.01 per Lb each.

The prices of Al/Cu Radiators/Fe and Al/Cu Radiators witnessed no change on Index.

Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices held steady. Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices remained unchanged on 18th February, 2019.

Chrome Wheels and E.C Aluminum Wire prices saw marginal decline by $0.01 per Lb each.

Litho Sheets and MLC Clips dropped marginally by $0.01 per Lb each.

Mixed Aluminum Turnings and UBC prices remained unchanged on Index.

The prices of Old Cast, Old Sheet and Painted Siding dropped marginally by $0.01 per Lb each.

Zorba 90% NF prices held steady on Index.

 Steel Scrap Prices

#1 Bundle prices remained flat over the previous day.

The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too witnessed no change on 18th February, 2019.

HMS 80/20 prices held steady on Index.

Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also reported no change in prices in comparison with the previous day.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS and 301 SS prices reported no change.

304 SS Solid prices too remained flat over the previous day.

304 SS Turning witnessed no change in prices on February 18th, 2019.

309 SS and 310 SS prices saw no change in price on a daily basis.

330 SS prices were flat from the prior day.

Meantime, 316 SS Solid prices too remained unchanged on Index.

 Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region remained totally flat on Index.

70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap and Brass Radiator scrap prices reported no change in prices on Monday, February 18th, 2019.

Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices maintained the previous day price levels.

Red Brass, Red Borings and Yellow Brass prices too remained flat on Index.
