17th April, 2019- North American Scrap Metal Prices Rose Marginally on Index

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American scrap metal prices remained mostly unchanged on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on April 17th, Wednesday. Aluminum and Steel scrap prices remained unchanged on Index. Copper and Brass/Bronze scrap prices registered marginal surge. Meantime, Stainless Steel scrap prices witnessed no change on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

The price of Alternator scrap remained unchanged over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing increased by $0.04per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also up by $0.04 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright went higher by $ 0.04 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery edged higher by $0.02 per Lb over the day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices were up marginally by $0.01 per Lb on Index. #3 Copper-Light copper prices edged higher by $0.04 per Lb.

The prices of Copper Radiator scrap increased by $0.01 per Lb from previous day’s levels. Copper Transformer Scrap prices remained unchanged. CuYokes and Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices too reported no change from the previous day.

Meanwhile, the prices of Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe held steady on April 17th.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery and Romex Wire prices edged higher by $0.01 per Lb each on Index.

The price of Heater Cores witnessed no change during the day.     

The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Sealed units, Starters and Xmas Lights saw no change from previous day price levels.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

1100 Scrap prices remained flat over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap too were steady on Index. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too were unchanged.

The prices of 6063 Extrusions held steady over the day.

Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions remained flat when compared with the previous day.

The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe remained flat. Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices held steady. Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices remained unchanged on April 17th, 2019.

Chrome Wheels and remained flat on Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices held steady over the previous day.

Litho Sheets and MLC Clips witnessed no change from previous day’s levels.

Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices too remained unchanged.

The prices of Old Cast and UBC saw no change over the previous day.

Old Sheet, Painted Siding and Zorba 90% NF prices too held steady.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 Bundle prices remained flat on Index.

The prices of #1 Busheling prices held steady on Index.

#1 HMS reported no change on 17th April, 2019.

HMS 80/20 prices held steady over the previous day.

Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also saw no change in prices when compared with the previous day.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS and 301 SS prices reported no change.

304 SS Solid prices too remained flat over the previous day.

304 SS Turning witnessed no change in prices on April 17th, 2019.

309 SS and 310 SS prices saw no change in price on a daily basis.

330 SS prices were flat from the prior day.

Meantime, 316 SS Solid prices too remained unchanged on Index.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region edged higher slightly on Index.

70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap and Brass Radiator scrap prices edged higher by $0.01 per Lb each on April 17th, 2019.

Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices maintained the previous day price levels.

Red Brass, Red Borings and Yellow Brass prices were up by $0.01 per Lb each on Index.
